Welcome! I'm an experienced IT consultant specializing in DevOps, Cloud, and Fullstack development. With a Master's degree in Computer Science, I offer my expertise through my own company, Nurmivaara Consulting Oy, based in Finland.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience in both consulting and product development, complemented by academic research endeavors. My focus lies in cloud-native site reliability engineering with a focus on k8s, openshift, AWS and other modern cloud tech, with a particular emphasis on devops, event-based architectures, data integrations, and backends. Here are some of my key technical proficiencies:

Programming Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, Next.js, Express.js)
Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, and Kubernetes (Openshift, EKS)
API Development: REST APIs, GraphQL, and other data integration techniques (e.g., API Gateway)
Scalable Serverless Architectures: Proficient in building highly scalable event-based systems utilizing Lambda, DynamoDB, and related technologies
DevOps: Skilled in leveraging tools such as Github Actions, Terraform, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, and Vercel (+others) for efficient development and deployment processes

In addition to my expertise in the aforementioned areas, I have prior experience working with Ruby, Java, PHP, and various databases. I am an Agile DevOps enthusiast and have been AWS Architect Associate certificated. Over the course of my career, I have successfully managed projects using frameworks such as Scrum.

Beyond my technical abilities, I possess strong leadership and mentoring skills. I enjoy conducting workshops, organizing events, and engaging in public speaking opportunities.
